And he departed to talk with the chief priests and the officers of the temple about how he might betray Him to them.

Luke 22:4

This was the point of no return for Judas. Weeks and months, or more, of sin in his mind and heart had taken root and had grown into a rebellion. What happened next was no problem for Christ, as it was all in His plan. But these actions changed Judas forever. He became a member of a small contingent of people in history who we call arch traitors. Perhaps never before had a person been so close to God while at the same time being so far away.

Heavenly Father, thank You for all that You bring to us new every day. Not only the day itself, but all that is in it is new. There are new opportunities to serve you and to live in Your will. The joy and peace You give our hearts is wonderful. Thank You! In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray and praise You, Amen.
