And the chief priests and the scribes sought how to execute Him, for they were afraid of the people.

These men began to work out a plan in their minds as to how they could get Jesus executed. It would be tricky, but to them it was worth the effort.
Heavenly Father, thank You for taking such good care of us! You know what we need and You care for every need, not just what we think about. Your power is our constant comfort. Thank You! In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray and praise You, Amen.
