When they are already budding, you see for yourself, knowing that the summer is already near.
Luke 21:30
Jesus didn’t use simple illustrations because He thought His listeners were stupid. No. The simplicity of the illustrations that Jesus and the New Testament authors use is meant to make a point. God has surrounded us with processes of nature that help us understand Him and His Word. Good doctrine can be illustrated well by the straightforward functions of nature because nature’s Creator is also the Author of good doctrine.
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us access to so much in Christ! May we stop seeking the things we do not need and start rejoicing in the things You provide abundantly, but we so often miss. Thank You for the Victory! In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ I pray and praise You, Amen.
