With men fainting from fear and expectation of the things coming to the world, because the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

In the time of the end, the devil will have more freedom to do as he will on the face of the earth. But this ‘freedom’ will be short lived and plagued by the judgement of Almighty God. As this verse says, people will be very afraid of God’s power, and the impact of His wrath upon the universe will be obvious.
Heavenly Father, it seems to so many of us that this earth is ripe for judgment. But remind us of Your great mercy and that You are always at work. Send us forth into Your harvest that we might gather to Christ the many souls yet to be saved before the time of the end. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray and praise You, Amen.
