1 And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. 2 This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. 3 So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. 4 Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, 5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. 6 So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. 7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Explanation

Jesus is the Light – He is Sinless

Seven Contexts for Conviction (from the NKJV)
John 8:9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
James. 2:8-9 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.
John 8:46 “Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me?”
John 16:7-11 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.”
Titus 1:7-9 For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict.
1 Corinthians 14:24 But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or an uninformed person comes in, he is convinced by all, he is convicted by all.
Jude 1:14-15 NKJ) Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

Jesus is the Lord – He is Savior

Could Jesus save me if He isn’t God?
Sit down and read Hebrews chapters 8, 9, and 10. It helps us to understand the Old Testament very clearly. God’s covenants are not established without the shedding of blood. And, because Jesus is the perfect Sacrifice, His death has atoned once and for all for our sins.
1 Timothy 2:3-5 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. (NKJV)
2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (NKJV)
1 Corinthians 15:47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. (NKJV)
In Mark chapter 2 verses 5-11 Jesus intentionally told the paralyzed man that He was healing that his sins were forgiven. The Jewish leaders who were present clearly understood this was a claim of deity.
Colossian 2:9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; (NKJV)

Jesus is the Lamb – He is Selfless

Luke 22:42 “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” (NKJV)

Jesus is the Lion – He is Sovereign

Orthodox Jews today understand the fact that the Messiah must be Davidic. They have almost re-established the priesthood, but not the monarchy.
Nicodemus knew that Jesus was the King.
John 19:39 And Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds. (NKJV)

Jesus is the Sinless, Selfless, Sovereign, Savior!
